Claire Russ is a choreographer, movement director and teacher.
Claire works in theatre, musical theatre, opera/operetta, TV, commercials, cabaret, animation, the fashion industry and education. She draws upon a knowledge of many different dance forms and a wide experience of working with directors.

Following a childhood dance education in classical ballet, stage and tap dancing, and 'A' Levels in Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry, Claire attended the Laban Centre, London .
After graduating, the Claire Russ Ensemble was formed in 1990 and toured extensively until 2000. The Ensemble reached critical acclaim in 1993. It played regularly at the Robin Howard (The Place) Theatre London and was selected by John Ashford to represent Britain in various seasons of European dance.
Alongside this Claire has had a successful freelance career. She has worked extensively with theatre directors Sue Parrish (Sphynx Theatre Company) and Paul Jepson amongst others, and has assisted top choreographer Stuart Hopps. For TV, Claire has choreographed commercials with RSA (Joy) with director Mehdi Norowzian, and has choreographed animated characters for Sir Paul McCartney amongst a wide range of other things.
