As architect Nigel Coates recently pointed out in a public lecture, our body is the first place we live in; our first architectural experience. While the body is increasingly celebrated in contemporary culture and art, much new architecture may be partly inspired by the body, or seek to enhance the sensory physical experience of being in a space. At the Ensemble we are passionate about such architecture and the enhanced quality of experience that it offers.
